SPARE FACE BY TAMSIN SNOW
Oct 12 - Nov 10, 2018
Private view Fri Oct 12 6pm - 9pm
The first UK solo show by Tamsin Snow. Spare Face features a new installation and CGI animation work by the artist.
Tamsin Snow’s CGI animations examine the relationship between science fiction and real world medical innovation. H+ takes the viewer on a virtual tour of a futuristic medical processing plant. This fictional facility offers their clients a wide range of services from bespoke body parts to cryopreservation. The reality of artificial intelligence, suspended animation, and developments in synthetic biology, have sparked debate across disciplines. H+ (2018) explores the question of morphological freedom and the possible impacts these technologies may have for our future selves.
