Feb 15 - May 2, 2020
Georgia Sagri will develop a new chapter of her ongoing research on IASI ('recovery' in Greek), over a period of 3 months at Mimosa House. For the duration of this time, Sagri will offer a series of vocal tuning trainings and movement treatments for members of the public.
The research and practice formation at Mimosa House unfolds in two interrelated parts: the first consists of private and anonymous one-to-one sessions, taking place between January and March 2020, with a number of participants involved in the research. The second part will derive from the first part’s case studies, taking shape in the form of performances, objects, drawings and writings by the artist. The exhibition of these works and case studies will open to the public on 14 February, running until Saturday 2 May.

FIRST SHOW AT 47 THEOBALDS ROAD
Oct 15 - Dec 19, 2020
In music, a syncope is a missed beat or off-beat stress. In our next exhibition, 'syncope' acts as a metaphor for rapture, delay, lacunae, and displacement. As the philosopher Catherine Clément writes, “the Subject in search of syncope does not want to escape from time, but from a part of itself that denies it access to intimacy”.

Our first exhibition in new Holborn venue on Theobalds Road, the show will feature artists including Mira Calix, Chooc Ly Tan, Himali Singh Soin and Qian Qian amongst others
