Aug 5 - 13, 2017
Stu MacKay is based at Thames-Side Studios and has become known for his UK Invasion series of paintings celebrating British Science Fiction design.

Chronologically Functional is MacKay’s first solo gallery exhibition. It features his complete UK Invasion, a series of twelve paintings which fuse recognisable images from classic British design with, arguably the most famous of British sci-fi iconography, Raymond Cusick’s ‘Dalek’.

Other accompanying works in Chronologically Functional includes his 5T4R W4R5 series, Guardians of the Thames and the first in his new Gals with Guns series.

THAMES-SIDE STUDIOS LOUNGE (UNIT 0): DIANA SAVOSTAITE
Sep 15 - Oct 22, 2017 FINAL WEEK
Lithuanian-born painter Diana Savostaite has lived in London since 2005 and had a studio on site since 2014. Diana originally studied painting at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania. It was here that she developed her approach to painting the world around her in a manner that attempts to capture the heart and emotional feeling of the subject, whether its family, the home, the river, or even the local.

SOMETHING AND NOTHING CURATED BY NICKY HIRST
Oct 5 - Nov 5, 2017
'I think all six artists in the exhibition are very practical dreamers. They are attracted to materials, processes, possibility and serendipity, and less concerned about outcomes. However - the outcomes are usually beautifully poised, humorous and strangely satisfying works of art.' - Nicky Hirst
