JEAN DUBUFFET : THEATRES OF MEMORY

Pace London is delighted to present Jean Dubuffet: Theatres of memory, the first exhibition dedicated to Dubuffet’s Théâtres de mémoire series in over three decades. Organized by Arne Glimcher, the founder of Pace Gallery, the exhibition features eight monumental paintings on loan from significant European museums and foundations including Fondation Dubuffet, some of which will be displayed publicly for the first time.

JULIAN SCHNABEL
May 18 - Jun 22, 2018 FINAL WEEK
he exhibition includes twelve new paintings that originate from 18th century calendar prints discovered by the artist in a second-hand store in New York City. After enlarging the original calendar prints’ pastoral scenes, Schnabel paints on them, establishing a new picture without losing the first and emphasizing the constant multiplicity of vision.

Pace is delighted to present Signal Hill, an exhibition of new works by Canadian artist Beth Letain. On view from 28 June to 4 August 2018 at 6 Burlington Gardens, the exhibition is Letain’s first at Pace and will include twelve new paintings on canvas as well as related aquarelles.
 
Focusing on the implications of colours, Letain’s vivid compositions feature dissonant yet harmonious lines and geometric structures that explore themes of logic, system and shape.

New works by Loie Hollowell. Originating in autobiography, her paintings explore themes of sexuality, often through abstractions of the human body and an emphasis on female forms.
