talk/event This symposium expands on Array’s commission As Others See Us in Jerwood Collaborate! and their collective research into current activism in Northern Ireland around LGBTQ+ rights, feminism and anticolonialism.
They invite artists and activists from different generations to directly address current and future issues within Northern Ireland, platforming voices that fall outside current sectarian narratives.

About Jerwood Collaborate!
A major group exhibition presenting four new commissions by early-career artists working in collaborative and collective practices across the UK; Array, Keiken + George Jasper Stone, Languid Hands and Shy Bairns. Using moving image, activism, installation and publishing, the exhibiting artists interrogate essential subjects that affect us as a society today and in the future. It includes considerations of the im/possibility of Black Testimony, socio-political issues in Northern Ireland, fictional futures in the context of inequality and climate change, and demystifying creativity and the role of the artist today.
