BELIT SAğ
Nov 16, 2018 - Jan 26, 2019 FINAL WEEK
PEER and LUX present a dual-venue exhibition of work by Amsterdam-based Turkish artist, belit sağ in her first solo show in the UK. Describing her overarching theme as an interest in the ‘violence of images and images of violence’, much of sağ’s work explores how contemporary Turkish society is affected by the current oppressive political regime.

JADÉ FADOJUTIMI : THE NUMBING VIBRANCY OF CHARACTERS IN PLAY
Feb 1 - Mar 30, 2019
Private view Thu Jan 31 6pm - 8pm
PEER presents new paintings in the first exhibition in a public gallery by young artist Jadé Fadojutimi. With a highly charged and often emotional approach, for Fadojutimi the production of painting is compulsive, exhilarating and exhausting. Exploring complex and reflective questions about identity, and how to navigate paths through a fractured society, the resulting large-scale, gestural and vibrant paintings although essentially abstract, often present a pervading sense of a densely vegetated environment.
